12"x16" (18" x 24" framed with matting) Charcoal and Pastel Drawing on Pastelmat paper.
This piece was inspired by my internal struggle of coping with anxiety and depression while managing chronic pain. The wide-open expression of the eye is further dramatized with cracks breaking through the facade. I could spend hours staring into the cracks and crevices of the iris.
